Presentation & Launch of the Transylvanian Wildlife Project

May 25th 2009 - The launch of the Transylvanian Wildlife Project successfully took place at the East Transylvanian Tourism Days conference in Covasna county. I was invited by the President of the Covasna County to give a presentation at the East Transylvanian Tourism Days conference at the Reci reserve. As you will see from the quoted aims of the association meeting below this was an ideal time and opportunity to present the project at regional and national level.

"As the environmental education rules nowadays methodology and it is a milestone for sustainable development, it is our duty to join this trend and learn how we can turn our preserved habitats into products for tourism. That is why the topic of the East Transylvanian Tourism Days - on May, 22nd 2009 - is the harmonious relationship between NATURE and TOURISM.".

The project stimulated a lot of interest and I was approached by several individuals and groups, including the Environmental Protection Agency offering support and collaboration. I also had interviews with the local and national press.

We are now in a position to build momentum from this initial launch to the start of the project in October. There remains a lot of work and preparation and we are actively seeking voluntary support from interested individuals and groups.
